πŸ”₯The New Wine (Jn 2:1-10)…2πŸ”₯

Thus saith the Lord: Cursed be the man that trusteth in man and maketh his flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. (Jer 17:5)

We realize from our anchor scripture reference; Jn 2:1-10 that the incidence that lead to the shortage of wine at the wedding ceremony was due to the fact that the main characters entrusted everything into the care of men even though Jesus was present . Unfortunately for them, such men couldn’t provide that needed help to sustain the program to the end.

This was seen when they encountered the problem of shortage and could no longer offer the needed help at such crucial moment. This has been the issue with some of us.

We tend to put our trust fully in men and offer them the place in our lives which belongs only to God. This could be the riches of our parents, some men of God in our lives, the companies our uncles have, etc.

The limit to their help is seen when we encounter situations in life where only God becomes the answer.
Nonetheless we may expect help from men, so far as God enables them to help us, but we must rest our trust in God alone.

Woe unto them that go down to Egypt for help, and depend upon horses and trusts in chariots.

But blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is. Jer 17:7
